With so many outdoor activities popping up lately, I’ve had trouble finding time to sit at my sewing machine. Lately, I’ve been itching for a simple project that I can complete in one quick sitting and still get a lot of use out of. I thought I’d share a few warm weather accessories I’m excited about whipping up, since I don’t think they’d take too much time and I can see myself grabbing for again and again through this season. Plus, all of these projects are excellent scrap busters which makes them all the better!

What’s not to love about a scrunchie?
-They keep your hair up in the gross heat AND they’re actually better for your hair
-They take 15 minutes to make
-They’re cute as hell

I have a ton of sunglasses and literally 0 sunglass cases. Needless to say, they’re all covered in scratches, but still my favorite accessory. This ADORABLE DIY from Always Rooney is the perfect solution.

I’m not gonna lie, I am sooooooooo not into the whole fanny pack resurgence that’s going on right now. But this beautiful belt bag? That I can do. This free pattern from I Love You Sew is too good to pass up!

A silky or printed head scarf is such an easy and chic way to elevate any outfit. Channeling my inner Brigitte Bardot with this quick to sew Brigitte Scarf from Tilly and the Buttons.
Since it’s been muggy here in Ohio, I think I’ll have to make some of these hair accessories first. What do you need to sew up for your summer life? Thanks for reading! -C
